At Our Place, we believe in the power of home-cooking to bring people together. We design thoughtful, beautiful products that make cooking and sharing meals easier and more joyful—and we are building a brand that earns a meaningful place in customers’ homes over time.

We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on marketing leader to run point on our next phase of DTC growth.    This is a role where you’ll have the opportunity to sharpen Our Place’s focus and new customer acquisition strategy across markets with the support of strong cross-functional partners.  Success in this role is built on strong communication and leadership skills,  rigorous measurement, and intellectual curiosity.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of high performing marketers to refine a growth engine across multiple product lines, personas, and countries. We believe some of the best ideas happen when we’re together! Right now, teams come into our beautiful new West LA headquarters on Tuesdays and Thursdays to collaborate and connect. In the future, we may ask teams to come in more often — because some things are just better in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited about being part of an in-person, collaborative culture and is comfortable with the flexibility that comes with a growing, hybrid workplace

  • Define the end-to-end strategy for key digital channels like Facebook and Google, as well as our rapidly growing offline media portfolio including, but not limited to, Linear TV, Streaming/OTT, and Podcasts

  • Partner closely with our Creative team to evolve the ad creative strategy, visualize concepts and plan and execute experiments a creative learning agenda

  • Architect and execute a rigorous testing agenda to prove out channel level incrementality in addition to testing to inform tactical structural and targeting approaches

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high performing full time and contractor team to foster positive collaboration and excellent results

  • Communicate insights with the broader organization, including but not limited to Marketing, Creative, Finance, CX, and Product

  • Consistently approach tasks and questions analytically to tactfully identify solutions and inform business decisions

  • Design processes, tech stacks, and reporting loops to facilitate  scalable and organized marketing ecosystems

Who you are

  • Minimum of 5 years of performance marketing experience across Digital and Offline channels, and have a strong working knowledge across Paid Social, Programmatic, and Search Marketing (SEM), as well as Podcast and Broadcast / Streaming TV

  • A track record of successfully deploying a sizable ($50M+) acquisition budget to drive revenue and customer acquisition at scale, preferably in multiple global markets

  • Extensive hands-on experience managing individual digital performance channels end-to-end, with deep expertise in Paid Social, Programmatic, and/or SEM

  • Analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities, including both technical skills (you likely comfortable in Excel and/or SQL), as well as consultative (you are effective at quickly scoping and structuring problems to be solved)

  • High tolerance for ambiguity and bias for action as you respond to new information

  • Entrepreneurial and global ownership mindset, with proven ability to influence and build advocacy for ideas at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated people leadership skills, with prior experience hiring, coaching, and developing a team of channel managers

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills

  • A positive, “impatient optimist” perspective that keeps the team moving forward

  • Passion for understanding consumer behavior and creating outstanding customer experiences in line with a mission-driven brand

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
