THE ROLE

We are seeking a  Director, Acquisition to own Meta and TikTok as acquisition channels for AG1. Reporting to the SVP, Acquisition Marketing, you will sit at the center of Growth's paid social investment, architecting campaign structure and bidding models with our agency partners, directing media buyers to scale spend efficiently, and building the tight feedback loop between performance data and creative production that keeps our ad accounts ahead of fatigue.

This is a high-velocity, high-accountability seat. You will manage and report on CAC, blended MER, and ROAS across Meta and TikTok, partner with Retention to align acquisition against high-LTV cohorts, and use MTA, MMM, and post-purchase survey data to set return targets that are aggressive but grounded in the numbers.

You bring deep platform mastery, a builder's instinct for scaling paid social spend into the multi-million-dollar-a-month range, and the CPG/DTC fluency to understand how subscription economics, repeat purchase behavior, and velocity metrics should shape acquisition strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Paid Social Strategy & Execution (Meta & TikTok)

  • Scale Paid Social Programs: Own the strategy, creative testing, and scaling roadmap for Meta and TikTok Ads to drive massive daily volume.
  • Platform Architecture: Collaborate with agencies to architect, test, and optimize campaign structures, account setups, and bidding models to achieve profitable sales targets.
  • Media Buying Expertise: Direct oversight of agency media buyers to maximize efficiency at scale.

High-Velocity Creative Engine

  • Creative Feedback Loops: Build a tight, data-backed bridge between media performance metrics and creative production teams.
  • Ad Fatigue Mitigation: Ideate and test hundreds of new visual hooks, formats, and angles weekly to constantly beat ad fatigue.
  • Hook & Script Testing: Analyze consumer insights and creative performance to guide creators and internal/external creative teams on winning hooks, scripts, and calls-to-action.
  • Whitelisting & Boosting: Advise on influencer and creator content performance to execute high-performing whitelisting and Spark Ad campaigns.

Analytics & Unit Economics

  • Financial Oversight: Manage and report on Total New & Winback Customers, CAC, blended Marketing Efficiency Ratio (MER), and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) for Meta & TikTok.
  • LTV & Retention Analytics: Partner with retention teams to align acquisition strategies with high Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) cohorts.
  • Attribution Expertise: Measure attribution using third-party and internal MTA, MMM, and Post-Purchase Surveys to set aggressive but achievable return targets.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Proven Track Record: Successfully scaled paid social spend to multi-million dollar monthly budgets for a high-growth DTC e-commerce/subscription or CPG brand.
  • Platform Expertise: Deep technical mastery of Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and analytics (MTA, MMM).
  • CPG/DTC Experience: Deep understanding of CPG unit economics, including subscriptions, repeat purchase behavior, and velocity metrics. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record at a high-growth DTC subscription brand, with experience successfully navigating omnichannel expansion into retail and supporting new product line extensions.
  • Analytical Mindset: Track record of deriving actionable insights from complex data sets.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience managing and partnering with agencies, media buyers, data analysts, and creative teams.
  • Experience Level: 6–10+ years in performance/paid social marketing.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
  • Competitive compensation and performance-based incentive plans.
  • A 100% remote working environment (excluding Laboratory positions), which has been implemented from day one.
  •  A strong company culture that is enforced through the hiring process to ensure values alignment and a highly collaborative team.
  • A mission-driven approach to everything that we do, with an overall goal to significantly improve our customers’ health and wellness.
  • A high-growth, dynamic environment with opportunities for your direct impact to be felt.
  • Paid holidays, company-wide reset and reflect days, and unlimited PTO (based on your country of residence).
  • In-person team meetups for optimal collaboration, team building and accelerating productivity.
  • A work environment and culture  that is based on high performance, productivity and continuous improvement.
  • The opportunity to work with passionate, high-growth, business-minded colleagues who bring their all to our mission each and every day.
  • Access to AG1 products and branded swag.
  • Monthly telecom stipend to offset some of the costs of home internet/wifi for eligible team members.
  • All other benefits and insurances as required by law, based on your specific country of residence.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $150,000 - $180,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
