About Buildots

Buildots is transforming a $13 trillion global industry with the world’s most advanced construction intelligence platform

Our mission is to turn the construction industry into a predictable, efficient machine. We’re providing true visibility to construction leaders and unlocking data-driven decision-making for the first time in history. That’s why we’re trusted by Fortune 500 contractors and leading global owners, including Turner Construction, JE Dunn, Intel, STO Building Group and Mortenson.

We hire curious people with bold ambitions. If you’re driven to solve ‘impossible’ challenges and want to see the tangible impact of your work shaping critical global projects and the skylines of the world’s largest cities, you belong at Buildots.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Account Management Leader for North America to own, drive, and scale our executive-level client relationships and account management operations across the region.

In this role, you will lead and grow our North American Account Management team, serving as a player-coach who can command an executive room while mentoring a high-performing team. You will be responsible for understanding our customers’ macro business strategies, aligning Buildots to solve their most pressing operational inefficiencies, and driving massive revenue growth through strategic expansions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor, and inspire the North American Account Management team. Actively drive recruitment and onboarding to scale the team as the region grows.
  • Build and nurture deep, trusted-advisor relationships with C-suite and executive stakeholders and owners in North America.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to identify, map, and proactively secure up-selling and portfolio-wide cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Strategic Advisory (Consultative Approach): Deeply understand complex operational challenges, and deliver sophisticated, data-driven frameworks that compel clients to take action.
  • Monitor regional account health metrics and value generation to accurately forecast, secure, and exceed revenue growth and retention targets.
  • Collaborate with our Product teams to influence the roadmap: champion North American client feedback, spearhead regional beta programs, and ensure our development priorities align with market needs.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years leading senior account management, solutions, or customer operations within complex B2B SaaS or Construction-Tech companies, or a background in top-tier management consulting with a focus on construction, real estate, or large-scale industrial sectors. In either path, you must have a proven history of managing enterprise client accounts, advising corporate executives on change management, and delivering high-impact strategic processes.
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing, mentoring, and scaling high-performing, client-facing teams.
  • Exceptional executive presence with outstanding communication and storytelling skills, and the natural ability to command an executive room and build trusted-advisor relationships with C-level stakeholders.
  • A highly analytical mind capable of diagnosing complex organizational challenges and designing tailored strategies to drive institutional change and product adoption.
  • Commercial and data discipline, with familiarity in leveraging product adoption metrics to demonstrate clear business value, mitigate risks, and uncover strategic expansion opportunities.
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Willingness to travel for key regional client executive sessions and industry events across North America.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
