In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you'll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.
Director - Air Force Programs: provides guidance, advice, and support to the Electronics Systems Sector leadership and Business Areas involved with business opportunity identification and support of current and new business activities with Air Force Customers in the Dayton, OH area. Customers include Air Force Material Command (AFMC), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), Program Executive Officers (PEOs), and System Program Offices (SPOs).
This position requires expertise and knowledge of Defense acquisition and budgeting processes, US Air Force research, procurement and sustainment organizations, and the intelligence community. The Director should have a general familiarity with HQ US Air Force, to include the Staff of the Secretary of the Air Force and others to include the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics) & Service Acquisition Executive (SAE), and Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force Intl Affairs (SAF/IA). In addition, will have knowledge and expertise of Air Staff organizations, functions and processes.
The position will develop and maintain close trusted partner relationships with offices of senior military and USG civilian customers, current and prospective, as well as industry partners and suppliers. The position will coordinate with Electronics Systems Business Development, Engineering, Technical Directors and Program Management personnel and support briefings to customers that highlight BAE Systems capabilities and solutions. The position will also support the Business Areas through attendance at Industry Days, Symposiums, Professional Events, Conferences, and Trade Shows in the Dayton area and others as necessary.
The Director, Air Force Programs will report to the VP, DOD Customer Requirements & Advocacy in Arlington, VA, regularly interface with the Air Force Customer Requirements & Advocacy Team, Air Force acquisition personnel, and support the Business Areas of the Electronics Systems Sector with the identification, qualification and creation of new business opportunities according to the Business Capture Process.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information as well as maintain BAE Systems highest ethical standards.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must currently possess a US Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with US Air Force, and MAJCOM or Air Staff Level Operations, Planning, Strategy, Requirements, or Acquisition Organizations
- Understanding of DoD Requirements (JCIDS), Acquisition (FAR) and Budget development processes (PPBE)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Thorough understanding of the US Air Force market, its customers and the ability to think strategically and champion future opportunities for Electronic Systems
- Master's Degree
- Command experience as a Senior Materiel Leader or equivalent
- US Air Force acquisition program or requirements development/JCIDS experience
- Experience working on the Air Staff, USSOCOM or MAJCOM Equivalent
- Knowledge of Air Force Foreign Military Sales
