We are looking for a motivated and curious Summer Intern to join our Digitalization Team, where you will support exciting Automation and Digitalization projects for our Tier 1 customers. This internship offers hands-on experience at the intersection of data, technology, and business processes, and is ideal for someone eager to apply technical skills to real-world challenges. As part of the team, you will work with tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, Power BI (PBI), and other digital platforms. Your responsibilities will include developing new solutions as well as enhancing and optimizing existing automations, reports, and data pipelines. You will collaborate closely with experienced team members to transform data into meaningful insights and scalable digital solutions. In addition to development work, you will be involved in analytical and strategic activities, such as examining current processes, analyzing data trends, and identifying opportunities for further automation and the use of AI-driven solutions. This role provides exposure to modern digitalization practices and allows you to contribute ideas that can directly impact efficiency, performance, and customer value. What you will do:
- Build and enhance automations, reports, and data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Power BI.
- Develop new digital solutions and improve existing ones for scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Transform raw data into meaningful insights through data modeling, visualization, and storytelling.
- Analyze current business processes to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Explore and prototype AI-driven approaches to elevate automation, decision support, and predictive insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to gather requirements, validate outcomes, and deliver customer-ready solutions.
- Document designs, workflows, and changes to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
The skills you bring:
- Foundational skills in SQL, Python, and Power BI (DAX, data modeling, and dashboarding).
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data quality, and pipeline optimization.
- Ability to analyze data trends and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail; comfortable iterating on feedback.
- Collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Nice to have: familiarity with version control (Git), APIs/integration, basic AI/ML concepts, or cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).
- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or Master's on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internship
- Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer or Co-Op term
