Job Description SummaryThe Digital Technology Finance Business Manager is a key member of the DT finance team, supporting the DT organization with planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. This role will partner closely with business CIOs and the DT Finance Business Leader to provide data-driven insights, support project and capex investment decisions, and help drive improved operational and financial outcomes. This is an individual contributor role with a hands-on focus on execution, analysis, and business partnership within a defined scope (e.g., specific DT towers, products, or projects).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the DT Finance Business Leader in partnering with business CIOs, creating financial visibility and driving improved outcomes. Prepare analysis, insights, and materials for business reviews and decision-making.
  • Support DT financial rhythms, including partnering with the DT Finance FP&A team for all planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles, across respective cost centers, projects, and capex. Provide clear variance analysis, risks/opportunities, and deliver concise insights to DT Finance Leader and operating team.
  • Analyze DT run vs. grow spend, unit costs, and operational KPIs (e.g., cloud, infrastructure, applications) for assigned areas. Identify cost productivity and efficiency opportunities and support execution tracking.
  • Support financials for DT projects within your scope: build and update business cases, track project budgets vs. actuals, forecast to complete, and assist with benefits tracking and ROI/NPV analysis.
  • Help quantify and monitor expected and realized benefits (cost savings, productivity, risk reduction) for DT capex and opex investments within your scope, providing clear, data-backed updates to leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and accounting standards for DT spend and capitalization. Partner with controllership on accurate capitalization, accruals, reconciliations, and risk mitigation.
  • Effectively use FLIGHT DECK to improve efficiency in individual processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 6 years of finance experience (FP&A, operations finance, or project finance), with exposure to technology, IT, or digital organizations
  • Financial modeling skills
  • Proven project management and coordination skills
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, forecasting, and financial analysis for complex cost structures or project portfolios
  • Proficient use of financial systems (e.g. Hyperion, Oracle) and analysis tools including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Desired Characteristics

  • Broad finance experience within the segment in GE Aerospace
  • Experience supporting Digital Technology / IT / Digital / Software organizations, ideally in a corporate or large enterprise environment
  • Prior experience in project finance, PMO finance, or capex investment analysis
  • Strong understanding of DT cost drivers, such as infrastructure, cloud, networks, applications, cybersecurity, and digital products
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders, challenge assumptions, and influence outcomes with data-driven insights
  • Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker who is able to provide solution alternatives
  • Strong communicator, decision maker and influencing skills.  Ability to present complex financial information in a clear, concise, and actionable terms.
  • Ability and willingness to embrace digital tools, technologies, and processes, and to be adaptable and innovative in a rapidly changing digital environment

The base pay range for this position is $137,000-$185,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on May 8th.
