What We Seek

The Digital Content Specialist supports the development, organization, production, and maintenance of high-quality digital curriculum. This role combines course data management and content production, ensuring that instructional content is accurately structured, tagged, configured, published, and maintained across curriculum authoring and delivery systems.


The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient ingestion of metadata into a proprietary Digital Asset Management (DAM) system and information management in service of structuring digital courses. This role maintains data integrity by validating information,and managing data input processes.


The specialist manages course and content data, supports digital production workflows, troubleshoots digital issues, and helps maintain the accuracy and integrity of curriculum throughout its lifecycle.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with both curriculum and technology, and skilled at understanding how content, metadata, systems, and user experiences connect.



 

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Intake, interpret, compile and structure instructional design and product input for ingestion and publication to drive digital course and content integration in LMS(s)  and learning tools
  • Understand and inform data schema and best practices for curriculum data transformation
  • Ingest CSV-based digital asset and digital course tree spreadsheets into the DAM and publication system.
  • Review and validate entered data for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with established business rules, metadata requirements, and quality standards.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve data-entry errors and discrepancies before records, content, or assets are finalized, published, or released.
  • Perform ongoing data-quality checks to detect and correct duplicate records, missing or incomplete information, inconsistent formatting or tagging, and inaccurate content or asset placement.
  • Document identified issues, corrections, and recurring error patterns; communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders and recommend process improvements that strengthen data integrity and prevent future issues.
  • Maintain database consistency and uphold high standards of data integrity.

  • Monitor and regularly assess data-ingestion workflows, validation processes, and system outputs to identify inefficiencies, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve accuracy, consistency, scalability, and overall process performance.
  • Develop and implement best practices to enhance data quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of clear data ingestion guidelines and procedures.
  • Keep documentation up-to-date and accessible for all team members.
  • Support the development and quality assurance of digital content objects across a variety of authoring tools
  • Support other curriculum development needs as assigned.



 

What Should Be In Your Bookbag

  • Experience in educational technology, curriculum development, digital publishing, content production, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and experience working with structured data, including CSV-based imports and exports.
  • Experience with content management, curriculum authoring, Digital Asset Management (DAM), LMS, assessment, or similar systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large volumes of curriculum content and metadata.
  • Comfort investigating unfamiliar systems and determining how information flows between them.
  • Strong instinct for identifying inconsistencies and validating that content works as intended.
  • Ability to investigate issues, identify likely causes, and coordinate solutions.
  • Ability to recognize repetitive or inefficient workflows and recommend better approaches.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with curriculum experts, designers, product managers, developers, and production teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven production environment.
