The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing nutritional care and education for hospitalized patients of all ages, including infants, toddlers, early and middle childhood, adolescent, middle adulthood, and geriatrics, as well as for out-patients referred by Western Medical Staff physicians. The Dietitian is responsible for maintaining open communication with nurses, physicians, and other health care team members regarding the nutritional concerns of patients. The Dietitian is responsible for participating with the Director of Nutrition in the development of nutrition-related policies and procedures pertinent to clinical areas, and in providing quality patient care.
Requirements:
- 6 months experience in an acute hospital environment preferred
- Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Bachelor’s degree with major in Foods/Nutrition or Food Service Administration
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Nutritional Care
- Possesses knowledge of current trends in Nutrition and healthcare delivery systems. Possess ability to plan and supervise work of others
