We’re looking for a 3D Character Artist with expertise in modeling and texturing to join Team Bitmoji!
What you'll do:
Create high and low polygon models of 3D characters, clothes, accessories, and props set to specific technical and aesthetic guidelines
Ensure a high level of fidelity in terms of modeling, texturing quality and optimization
Work closely with designers, character riggers, and animators while showing a general understanding of each department
Collaborate with prototypers and engineers to create and develop new products to bring to market
Problem solve any technical limitations and issues using creative and resource efficient solutions
Share your knowledge and experience with the team and be part of driving a positive work environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work cross-functionally by communicating effectively with production, other departments and teams across Snap
Strong communication skills and preference for working within a collaborative team environment
Be solutions focused, and able to help identify and problem solve gaps in a production workflow
Able to work autonomously and complete tasks within tight production schedules
Highly self motivated, look for positive outcomes, be well organized and driven
Experience in producing blend shapes (facial expressions and lipsync morph targets)

Knowledge and skills in Physically Based Rendering / Shading
Ability to use Substance Painter, and similar artist tools
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in 3D Animation, Animation, Fine Arts or related field or equivalent experience
Demonstrated expertise in modeling and texturing in the games industry via a 3D art portfolio
2+ years experience working with tools such as Zbrush, Maya, Photoshop, and Substance Painter or other projection based texturing software
Proficiency in Unity, Unreal or other major leading game development software
1+ year experience in Physically Based Rendering (PBR) texturing examples, demonstrated in portfolio
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years practical understanding of topology in using edge loops for deformation
