ABOUT THE TEAM

The Counterintelligence (CI) Team’s mission is to safeguard Anduril’s people, assets, operations, and supply chain through proactively understanding, identifying, analyzing and countering threats from insiders and external entities, specifically foreign intelligence services. The CI team helps ensure our security environment remains vigilant and resilient so that our strategic interests are preserved. We are committed to anticipating and mitigating risks and threats enabling Anduril to innovate and operate confidently in a dynamic global environment.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Anduril is seeking a professional to support the CI team who is interested in a unique opportunity to help strategize, socialize and implement a CI program which requires significant critical thinking, creativity, complex problem solving and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work across a rapidly growing, global, dynamic organization to identify and mitigate threats. The Deputy Director of CI is responsible for assisting the Director in managing and executing the CI functions across Anduril Industries globally. The role will involve the development and implementation of strategies to identify, deter, and mitigate foreign intelligence entities' and insiders attempts to collect sensitive information or conduct espionage activities against the company's assets, personnel, technologies and supply chain. The Deputy Director will work closely with government agencies, industry partners, and internal stakeholders to safeguard national security interests and the company’s proprietary information. The Deputy Director of CI must be a self-starter that thrives in building programs from the ground up that are responsive to fast paced and dynamic operational and threat environments. The Deputy Director must possess an understanding of CI and demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate complex risks and threats.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Support the development and execution of a comprehensive CI program tailored to the defense industry's unique threats and requirements.
  • Coordinate with federal agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and Federal Law Enforcement, to align company CI activities with national security priorities.
  • Establish and leverage collaborative partnerships across internal stakeholders to identify solutions to help detect and mitigate potential nation state-related threats to the company.
  • Drive efforts to identify potential espionage indicators, insider threats, and vulnerabilities within the organization.
  • Advise all levels, to include senior leadership on CI matters, threats, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Help manage a team of CI professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry counterparts to share best practices and threat intelligence.
  • Support the investigation of suspected CI incidents and drive the development of appropriate response measures.
  • Support the development of internal standard operating procedures and processes to support the CI program.
  • Help inform and shape security policies and procedures that are responsive to the identified threats and comply with government regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Produce analysis on specific nation state-related threats, support risk and threat assessments.
  • Monitor global intelligence and security trends to adapt CI measures proactively.
  • Develop and deliver CI training and awareness materials through a variety of platforms to foster a culture of security awareness and vigilance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Security or Intelligence Studies, Political Science, Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • 10-12 years of relevant work experience in CI investigations or analysis, intelligence operations or analysis, assessing complex threats from nation state actors and insider threats with a proven track record in leadership roles.
  • Experience developing and implementing CI programs and other complex security initiatives within the defense sector or government agencies.
  • Experience leveraging critical thinking skills to creatively solve complex problems and deliver results in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to leverage multiple data sets and tools to support complex research and analysis.
  • Experience conducting or supporting CI and/or insider threat investigations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the intelligence threats facing the industry.
  • Excellent critical thinking, collaboration, decision-making abilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively analyze and communicate complex risks.
  • Must have active Top Secret security clearance (SCI may be required).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing defense industry security.
  • Program Management experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing CI, Insider Threat and other complex security initiatives in private industry.
US Salary Range
$142,000$213,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
