People Insights Analyst
We’re looking for a Sr. People Insights Analyst to support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) & Compliance Teams, who will support the analysis of people data to uncover insights with regard to recruitment, engagement, and retention at Snap through the DEI lens. The Sr. People Insights Analyst will be on Snap’s People Analytics Team, reporting to the Manager of People Analytics. They will work closely with the DEI team, providing data, insights and tools that support the execution and delivery of Snap’s DEI Strategic Plan and help better understand the organization makeup, inform decision making with data, and assist with reporting our people metrics in compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in building and using data analytics infrastructure to provide granular and intersectional DEI demographic data. Additionally, they will be an adept thought leader who can engage with DEI stakeholders and cross-functional partners across the wider tech industry while supporting other People Data initiatives.
What you’ll do:
Provide executive leadership and management with DEI data and insights regarding the diversity of their teams
Design and support execution of a Diversity Data Dashboard for Snap’s leaders and managers, creating visualizations that tell a story about Snap’s people for easy consumption of data
Create processes and benchmarks that support improvements in metrics for under-represented groups
Create advanced models in excel to combine data sources and steer business decisions
Support Snap’s upcoming voluntary Self-ID campaign within Workday to track the self-reported diversity of Snap’s workforce
Support and inspire leaders across the company to build DEI (and DEI metrics) into the business and people processes at Snap
Work with HRIS to perform reconciliations and audits of HR data to ensure data integrity
Support execution of Snap’s DEI Strategic Plan through developing and delivering Quarterly Business Reviews
Create data processes and systems to achieve big picture outcomes
Provide data analytics support to design and execute strategies that increase representation of underrepresented groups in Snap’s workforce, specifically leading and managing stakeholder relationships in understanding these data sets
Support Snap’s commitment to a more equitable tech industry: work with industry stakeholders to create Diversity Standards for DEI data collection, tracking, and measurement across the industry at large
Partner with compliance to assist in reporting demographic information where relevant
Additional ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Psychology, or a related field of study, or equivalent work experience
4+ years experience in data analytics
Preferred qualifications:
Prior experience working in the DEI space
Experience building and managing stakeholder relationships at a leadership level
Experience with data analytics tools such as Excel, SPSS, Workday Prism, Looker, etc
Experience in tracking other relevant data, e.g. for our partnerships strategy, the ability to track (and drive) engagement with stakeholders
Experience with legal and compliance matters relating to DEI
Strong understanding of people related data and a demonstrated ability to present data in thoughtful and coherent way
Ability to translate client requests, from Recruiting, HR, and business, into meaningful analyses
