As FIGS’ Inventory Planner, you will be responsible for analyzing SKU-level sales performance, forecasting inventory needs, and managing inventory purchases to optimize FIGS’ in-stock levels. This role will interact with FIGS’ Design, Production, Marketing, and Operations teams and will report directly to FIGS’ Inventory Planning Manager.
What you’ll do:
- Manage overall inventory plans for product categories outside of the Core Scrubwear program.
- Review and provide in season feedback about product performance at the style, color, and size level.
- Using results of sales performance analyses and input from FIGS’ Design, Production, and Marketing teams, develop inventory forecast and purchasing plans at the style, color, and size level.
- Update Weekly Product Sales Reports in a timely manner and provide insights on sales data to the team.
- Own and grow the Amazon business by allocating the right amount of inventory throughout the year.
- Create purchase orders for review by FIGS’ leadership team and communicate cost and margin.
- Issue purchase orders to factories and partner with Production team to monitor status of purchase orders.
- ·Partner with Operations Manager on receipt tracking to ensure timely deliveries of given product categories.
- Assist Inventory Planning Manager in building out reporting templates and further developing FIGS’ Open-to-Buy.
- Drive the development and enhancement of KPI reporting efforts. Ensure accurate data collection while highlighting key insights to support executive decision making.
- Monitor daily and weekly sales, purchase order activity, and incoming deliveries to best serve FIGS’ inventory needs.
- Partner with Marketing to recommend promotional strategies for merchandise based on delivery dates, sales results, and planned product life span.
- Partner with Operations and Inventory Planning Managers to coordinate inventory donations for Threads for Threads™ initiative for given categories.
- Complete ad hoc sales performance and inventory analyses as needed.
Requirements:
- 2 – 4 years of planning experience for an ecommerce company that sells apparel
- Outstanding analytical capabilities and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a timely manner
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Intermediate to Expert user of Microsoft Excel
- 100% Awesome
