Kard is building commerce media infrastructure that connects financial institutions, financial-services platforms, and merchants through data and merchant-funded rewards. As our reach expands, we are building for a step-change in scale, and for opportunities ranging from more relevant rewards and marketer intelligence to new commerce and distribution models.

About the Role

Note: We are currently only able to hire candidates residing in India for this fully remote position.

Kard is looking for a detail-oriented, service-minded Data Support Analyst to join our Data team. This role will serve as a primary point of contact for ad-hoc data requests from Sales and other internal teams, helping stakeholders access, understand, and troubleshoot the data they need to work effectively.

The Data Support Analyst will use SQL, Databricks, Count, spreadsheets, and other internal tools to investigate questions, fulfill requests, resolve basic data issues, and support routine data operations. The ideal candidate is technically capable, responsive, and comfortable translating loosely defined business questions into accurate, useful data outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill ad-hoc data and reporting requests from Sales and other internal teams using SQL, Databricks, Count, and spreadsheets
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify business questions, define requirements, and deliver clear, accurate answers
  • Investigate data discrepancies, missing records, unexpected reporting results, and other basic data issues
  • Resolve straightforward issues independently and escalate more complex problems with clear documentation and supporting evidence
  • Support routine data maintenance, validation, and other operational data needs
  • Identify recurring requests that can be addressed through reusable queries, reports, documentation, or self-service resources

Desired Skills:

  • 3–6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, analytics support, data operations, or a similar role
  • Strong SQL skills and experience using data to answer business questions and troubleshoot issues
  • Experience with modern data and analytics tools; familiarity with Databricks or Count is a plus
  • Strong spreadsheet skills, including data validation, lookups, pivot tables, and general analysis
  • Ability to translate ambiguous requests into clear analytical requirements and explain findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a service-oriented approach to supporting internal teams

Bonus points:

  • Experience supporting Sales or other go-to-market teams
  • Familiarity with CRM, pipeline, or revenue-related data
  • Experience creating dashboards, reusable reports, or internal data documentation

Comp: $2,500 - $3,500 USD per month

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
