About the role:

We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our Directory team, ensuring that Garner maintains a best-in-class understanding of physicians and healthcare facilities across the U.S. 

Where you will work:

This role will be based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 

What you will do:
  • Build and maintain data-driven algorithms, including AI and machine learning models, to improve provider recommendations and the member search experience.
  • Enhance Garner’s understanding of the provider landscape by evaluating and integrating data from multiple sources. 
  • Design scalable data pipelines that ingest, clean, and enrich healthcare provider data.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
What you will bring to the team:
  • 1-3 years professional experience in data science, product analytics, and/or healthcare.
  • A demonstrated ability to independently solve difficult problems and deliver high quality results to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with Python and SQL.
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success.
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment. 
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States of America as Garner does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time.
Compensation Transparency:

The target salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $120,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
