Job Description (Data Entry Clerk)
Pacific Coast Structural Engineering Inc., also known as “Pc Structural,” is seeking a focused, organized, and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support our operations by maintaining accurate and up-to-date company databases and records.
The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for collecting, entering, updating, and verifying information related to the company’s structural engineering projects and day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will liaise with employees, project teams, clients, and other relevant parties to obtain and confirm information, ensuring that records are entered accurately and maintained in a timely manner.
Pc Structural provides structural engineering services for a broad range of projects, including new construction, residential and commercial developments, mixed-use projects, remodeling and additions, retrofits, retaining wall design, pad design, and seismic anchorage of tanks, AC units, generators, and storage racking. The Data Entry Clerk will help ensure that administrative and project-related information accurately reflects the company’s ongoing developments, updates, and transactions.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately enter, update, and maintain company and project-related information in databases and digital systems.
* Collect and verify information from employees, clients, project teams, and other relevant sources.
* Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency and identify and correct errors promptly.
* Maintain organized electronic records, documents, reports, and project information.
* Follow up with relevant personnel when information is incomplete, unclear, or requires clarification.
* Ensure databases and records remain current and accurately reflect project developments and company activities.
* Assist with administrative and data-management tasks as needed.
* Handle company information responsibly while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
* Communicate identified discrepancies or data issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Qualifications & Skills
* High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
* Previous data entry, administrative, customer service, or office experience is preferred.
* Strong typing and computer skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to identify errors and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
* Reliable, focused, diligent, and capable of handling repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
* Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
