The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, organizing, and maintaining information in company databases, spreadsheets, computer systems, and records. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and the ability to handle confidential information.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, computer proficient, and able to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
Enter and update data accurately into databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
Review documents and records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
Verify information and identify missing, duplicate, or incorrect data.
Correct data-entry errors and maintain accurate records.
Organize and maintain electronic and physical files.
Process invoices, forms, applications, reports, orders, and other documents as assigned.
Transfer information between paper documents, spreadsheets, databases, and other systems.
Perform routine data audits and quality-control checks.
Retrieve information and prepare basic reports as requested.
Maintain organized records and ensure information can be located easily.
Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
Follow established data-entry procedures, company policies, and security requirements.
Communicate with other departments to clarify incomplete or inconsistent information.
Assist with scanning, filing, copying, document management, and general administrative duties.
Meet established productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time standards.
Report system issues, data discrepancies, or recurring problems to the appropriate supervisor.
Perform other administrative and data-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous data entry, administrative, clerical, office, or customer service experience preferred.
Strong typing and keyboarding skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and email.
Ability to learn databases and company-specific software.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of data entry or administrative experience.
Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Experience using CRM, ERP, database, accounting, inventory, or document-management systems.
