Join our collaborative team as a data architect.
What you’ll do as a data architect:
Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to define, design, and deliver strategies for self-serve analytics, personalization, and business intelligence.
Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of modern data platforms supporting analytics, marketing, and AI use cases.
Translate business needs and emerging trends into scalable data solutions.
Apply deep knowledge of data and technology within the broader Best Buy Canada and enterprise environment.
Set technical direction and provide leadership across strategic initiatives.
Partner with architects, engineers, data scientists, and designers to define data structures, formats, pipelines, metadata, and orchestration.
Ensure all solutions align with Best Buy’s security and data protection standards.
Identify opportunities to improve the performance and stability of existing services through infrastructure enhancements.
What we’re looking for:
5+ years of experience delivering business intelligence (BI) solutions, with a solid understanding of relational database concepts, flat file processing, and hands-on experience across enterprise, infrastructure, data, application, and integration architecture.
2–3 years of experience in multi-channel or multi-brand environments.
2–3 years in roles with BI architecture responsibilities.
2+ years of hands-on experience with marketing technology platforms and tools.
Strong understanding of financial modeling and ability to build business cases for IT investments.
Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, GCP.
Proficiency with databases: SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle.
Skilled in BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, SSAS, Sigma.
Familiarity with analytics techniques: time series analysis, clustering, decision trees.

$129,000.00 - $142,000.00This role has bonus components in addition to annualized base pay.Starting pay offered will consider skills and experience. Your pay can grow as you build your career with us.
