ANINE BING is looking for a strategic and hands-on Data Analyst to lead data efforts across the business.

This foundational role will own and organize the data landscape across eCommerce, Retail, Wholesale, Finance, Operations, and Customer Experience. You’ll build our data infrastructure from the ground up—clarifying reporting, structuring and cleaning data sources, and delivering insights that drive critical decisions. Working cross-functionally, you'll help shape how data is used across a fast-growing global fashion brand.

This is a hybrid position based at our Los Angeles HQ, with a preference for in-person work.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish & Maintain Data Infrastructure: Build and own foundational datasets, dashboards, and reporting tools across all channels and departments (Shopify, NetSuite, NewStore, Looker/BI, etc.)
  • Translate Business Needs into Data Solutions: Understand and translate key business concepts (e.g., revenue, margin, customer) into data requirements, including identification of data needed, where it lives, and transformations needed to support accurate reporting and decision-making
  • Clean, Organize & Govern Data: Identify and fix inconsistencies, set data standards, and implement best practices for accuracy, accessibility, and scalability
  • Enable Self-Serve Reporting: Design intuitive dashboards and tools to empower teams across the company to access and use data confidently
  • Lead Analytical Projects: Own end-to-end analytics initiatives, from scoping and data sourcing to reconciliation, analysis and presentation of findings
  • Support Systems & Tools Strategy: Partner with Business Leads & IT to ensure upstream systems are optimized for clean and usable data
  • Understand Business Needs & Deliver Raw Data: Partner closely with cross-functional teams to understand their analytical needs, pull raw data sets from various systems, and support ad hoc analysis
  • KPI Development: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, track, and report on key performance indicators.
  • Automation and Efficiency: Identify opportunities to automate data processes and streamline reporting workflows to improve overall efficiency.
  • Data Security and Privacy: Ensure data handling practices comply with all relevant data privacy regulations and maintain data security protocols.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in data analytics, BI, or data operations within retail, fashion, or consumer brands
  • Advanced skills in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets; experience with Looker, Tableau, Parabola, or other BI tools
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems (ERP, OMS, POS, eComm) and stitching data together across tools (Netsuite, Shopify, Google Analytics, NewStore)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a sense of ownership
  • Excellent communicator who can simplify complex topics for a non-technical audience
  • Self-starter with a builder mindset, excited to shape the data culture at a high-growth company

Compensation

  • This role’s anticipated base salary range is between $90,000 and $110,000 annually.
