The Indirect Fires and Force Protection Business Area is looking for a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer to support Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) projects with our Air Force customer. Our team is focused on providing equipment agnostic engineering and integration support throughout the entire kill chain to 20+ C-sUAS sites globally.

As a Cybersecurity Lead, the ideal candidate will be capable of executing independent projects and collaborating with a variety of teams consisting of customer, site, and Leidos personnel. The candidate will be responsible for conducting the technical and administrative tasks including preparing Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts, defining cybersecurity requirements, conducting cyber scans and generating the associated reports for the purpose of maintaining an Authority to Operate (ATO) for multiple systems. The candidate will manage the cyber team’s tasking using JIRA and will work closely with the customer to define and prioritize the work across the Leidos and Government cyber teams. Experience with the DoD eMASS system is a plus.

This position will report to the program Technical Director and will require close coordination with program management, engineering staff, and customer stakeholders. The ideal candidate would be located near one of the program test facilities, which include the greater Boston region (preferred) and Eglin AFB, FL.  Candidate must be willing to travel to those locations regularly.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Delivering timely and accurate development of cyber artifacts needed for the program
  • Lead cybersecurity efforts for specific software development and engineering projects
  • Develop the cybersecurity requirements to be included in and allocated to the product baseline(s)
  • Assess, document, and report on the cybersecurity posture of various systems.
  • Develop and implement cyber mitigation strategies in response to identified vulnerabilities
  • Managing the cybersecurity policies, best practices, controls, and technologies used to secure applications, data, and infrastructure in cloud environments
  • Creating a framework for integrating security measures and controls into the design and implementation of a software solution
  • Identifying and prioritizing potential threats to a system, application, or organization
  • Accurately monitor, track, and report on cybersecurity project status to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinates with Leidos PMO and customer stakeholders to prioritize cybersecurity tasks

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) – twelve (12) years of experience
  • Experience managing RMF artifacts and maintaining system ATOs
  • One or more DoD Manual 8570 IAT II/III certifications prior to start, such as CompTIA Security+
  • Able to multi-task, manage a team of cyber engineers, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • US citizenship and current secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Experience with the Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience obtaining new ATOs, ATCs, and IATTs for complex systems
  • Experience supporting USAF or other DoD customers
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and management

Pay Range:Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
