At Nokia, we are seeking a talented and self-motivated Automation Test Engineer to join our NI Hyperscaler NAM Customer Engineering team. As our business expands, we require additional customer validation testing, and you will be at the forefront of this initiative. Your primary role will be to set up and configure equipment in our Cypress Waters lab, mirroring customer environments, and executing comprehensive test plans. You will validate the performance and functionality of our products, ensuring they meet customer expectations. When issues arise, you will take the lead in opening tickets, collaborating with R&D to resolve defects, and keeping stakeholders informed of progress. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to present lab-based solutions to both prospective and existing customers, showcasing the capabilities of our products.
Responsibilities
- Set up and configure equipment in the Nokia Cypress Waters lab to mirror customer configurations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate features and functionality.
- Identify and report issues, opening tickets and collaborating with R&D to resolve defects.
- Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely information flow.
- Present lab-based solutions to customers, demonstrating product capabilities and value.
- Work independently and manage project execution onsite at the Cypress Waters lab.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance testing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with business objectives.
- Document and maintain accurate records of test results and findings.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance customer validation testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5+ years of experience in automation testing or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with industry-standard testing methodologies.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is preferred.
