GTX Solutions, a CourtAvenue Company, is a boutique consulting firm focused on helping brands unlock the power of their customer data. We specialize in Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), real-time activation, personalization, and MarTech integrations. Our team blends strategic insight with technical expertise to drive measurable business outcomes for high-growth companies and global enterprises alike.

GTX Solutions leads data activation and delivery for enterprise CRM programs on the Salesforce platform, including Marketing Cloud and Data 360, spanning email, SMS and direct mail. Our teams take over, stabilize and modernize live, high-volume programs, improving journeys, decisioning and measurement over time.

The Customer Data Architect leads the data foundation behind the program: data strategy, architecture, identity and audiences. This role defines how customer, household and vehicle data flows into Salesforce Data 360, how customers are recognized and resolved, and which audiences are eligible for each program, so every journey runs on trusted, governed data.

Responsibilities

  • Own the customer data architecture from the enterprise customer data platform into Salesforce Data 360 and Marketing Cloud, including ingestion, mapping, refresh cadence and data quality rules.
  • Define identity and match logic, including owner and customer resolution, household and vehicle relationships, and golden record rules.
  • Lead the data model and data model object (DMO) strategy in Data 360.
  • Define audience eligibility, segmentation, suppression and consent rules for all programs.
  • Design the activation architecture: what is prepared in the enterprise data layer and what is activated in Data 360, balancing capability and platform consumption.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, including conflicting sources overriding trusted records.
  • Coordinate third-party data partners for data hygiene, address standardization and ownership verification.
  • Maintain data processing instructions, data dictionaries and source-to-target documentation.
  • Partner with client data, privacy and security teams on governance, consent and data agreements.
  • Define measurement data foundations, including KPI definitions and the datasets needed for reporting and attribution.
  • Partner with the Salesforce Solution Architect, journey and operations teams on audience and data requirements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in data architecture, customer data strategy or enterprise data engineering, with a focus on marketing and customer data.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data 360 or another enterprise CDP such as Adobe Real-Time CDP, Tealium, Segment or Treasure Data.
  • Strong understanding of identity resolution, profile unification and household or relationship modeling.
  • Advanced SQL, plus familiarity with Python and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks or BigQuery.
  • Experience designing data ingestion pipelines and data quality frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of consent, privacy and data governance in large enterprise environments.
  • Excellent documentation skills and the ability to explain complex data concepts to marketing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification.
  • Automotive, OEM or dealer-network experience, including vehicle ownership, VIN relationships, registration, DMS and dealer data.
  • Experience working with third-party data providers for hygiene, identity and enrichment.
  • Experience with zero-copy or data federation patterns between cloud warehouses and Data 360.
  • Background in MarTech consulting or agency delivery.

Work Environment

  • This role supports an enterprise CRM program on the Salesforce platform.
  • The role requires close coordination with client marketing, technology and data teams; occasional travel or on-site presence may be required.
  • Southern California preferred, in the San Diego or Los Angeles area, to support in-person collaboration with client and partner teams.
  • GTX Solutions has team members across the United States.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
