Customer/ Business Desk Officer

The Customer/Business Desk Officer at Guardian Group Fatum manages customer requests, inquiries, and complaints, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate departments for accurate support. This role contributes to high customer satisfaction while generating leads for cross-selling and upselling opportunities. Additionally, the Customer/Business Desk Officer effectively sells products and optimize service delivery in terms of cost, speed, and quality.

What are you going to do?

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both customers and business partners
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly to maximize satisfaction
  • Handle customer inquiries, requests, and order discussions effectively
  • Meet sales targets and deadlines as agreed upon
  • Analyse customer questions, provide accurate information, and resolve concerns
  • Advise current and potential customers, foster rapport, and offer tailored solutions
  • Identify upselling opportunities during customer interactions, either closing sales directly or passing leads to the appropriate teams
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Sales and Operations, by providing relevant customer information, ensuring smooth handling of requests, and tracking progress
  • Document and assess common customer feedback and complaints, recommending and helping to implement improvements
  • Continuously enhance performance through feedback and self-improvement

What do we expect from you?

  • Minimum associate degree in Banking & Insurance or equivalent education
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a service desk/customer support function
  • Basic knowledge of insurance products, services, and sales channels
  • General knowledge of individual insurance products related to Life, General Insurance and Health 
  • High level of efficiency and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office is preferred
  • A team player who is highly motivated and target driven
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamento
  • Excellent customer service attitude
