What it is:


The Curriculum Specialist plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of Becker’s Continuing Professional Education (CPE) catalog. This position is responsible for reviewing and updating course content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and compliance with industry standards. The specialist collaborates with senior team members and subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess course updates, develop new curriculum materials, and enhance the learner experience. Additionally, they audit course data, review webcast content, and test new technologies to improve course development efficiencies. With a strong attention to detail and a commitment to educational excellence, the Curriculum Specialist contributes to the continuous improvement of Becker’s accounting education offerings.


What You'll Do

  • Regularly review courses in the CPE catalog, monitoring industry developments to determine when content updates are needed.
  • Collaborate with Senior Specialists and Managers to plan course updates and revisions.
  • Audit course data monthly to ensure accuracy across the Becker Learning Management System (LMS) and Course Scheduler/Tracker.
  • Review webcast calendar to verify metadata accuracy and confirm appropriate course selection and timing.
  • Implement minor course updates such as metadata changes, minor content updates, and corrections.
  • Evaluate and edit CPE courses developed by subject matter experts (SMEs) for clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Write and review CPE course questions and glossaries to enhance learner comprehension.
  • Assist in designing and developing curriculum for the CPE catalog, contributing to new course creation and revisions.
  • Evaluate and implement new technology to enhance course development efficiency.
  • Serve as a content resource by researching and responding to inquiries, ensuring accuracy and relevance in course materials.
  • Generate reports and provide ad-hoc data analysis as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support curriculum development and content quality.

What You Will Need to be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Active CPA License, required.
  • Experience in accounting research, curriculum development, learning and development, or educational content review (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or a related field.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and industry regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Monday.com (preferred)
  • Ability to analyze course data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to research and synthesize complex information into clear, concise educational materials.
  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), cross-functional team members, and senior team members.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Adaptability to changing industry standards and educational technologies.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
