In this hybrid role, you will report into our Head of Culture, Diversity & People Development.

You will:

Facilitate Culture Transformation

  • Conduct assessments and implement data-driven strategies to address business unit needs.
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate Waymo's values into practical actions.
  • Empower and coach leaders to become culture champions, fostering a shared understanding and commitment to Waymo's core values within their teams
  • Collaborate across Waymo to deliver training programs that promote behaviors aligned with Waymo's values, driving consistent application across the organization
  • Lead comprehensive change management strategies to ensure seamless adoption and sustained impact of cultural transformation initiatives

Support People Development Efforts

  • Partner with leaders and HRBPs to identify and align learning objectives with organizational goals, fostering a culture of learning
  • Design and implement innovative career development programs and learning pathways that enhance employee engagement and professional growth
  • Create and deliver impactful leadership development programs that cultivate strong leadership practices and promote Waymo's core values
  • Design and facilitate targeted organizational development interventions to enhance team effectiveness, collaboration, and performance
  • Provide personalized coaching and support to leaders, empowering them to champion culture and people development initiatives within their teams
  • Take a human centered design approach to L&D to understand employees on a deeper level and build learning strategies that are responsive to learners' specific needs
  • Design and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and other programs to foster a values-based culture

You have:

  • 10+ years of experience developing, and delivering learning and development programs of increasing scale, with a focus on leadership and management development.
  • Experience leading cultural change initiatives, including assessments and strategy implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to align L&D with business goals, including needs assessments and skill gap identification to inform program development.
  • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and effectively deliver training programs to diverse audiences. Experience utilizing various learning methodologies and technologies.
  • Track record of partnering with and influencing senior leaders and HRBPs.
  • Experience leading organizational change initiatives, demonstrating knowledge of change management principles.
  • Experience managing training teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Demonstrated alignment with Waymo's mission, values, and behaviors, with a commitment to promoting and modeling these within Waymo.

We prefer:

  • Graduate degree in Organizational Development, Learning and Development, HR, or a related area.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, tech environment.
  • Demonstrated experience applying human-centered design principles to learning and development initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and culture initiatives.
  • Track record of developing and implementing innovative learning solutions and approaches to culture change.
  • Experience leading or influencing cross-organizational collaborations with other internal training organizations.
  • A recognized coaching certification.

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the role location or, if the role can be performed remote, the specific salary range for your preferred location, during the hiring process. 

Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.

$226,000$286,000 USD
