At Angel City, we are building a world-class organization that uses sport to drive to equity. Our vision is to create engaging and unique experiences that bring the purpose-driven mission of this Club to the world.

We are stronger together, have more impact together, and have more fun together!

We are looking for a Creator Marketing Manager to lead the day-to-day execution and operational excellence of our creator ecosystem. This role is the connective tissue between strategy and execution, ensuring our content, creators, and community show up consistently, clearly, and intentionally across platforms. This role is for someone who thrives on structure, accountability, and high standards, and who also brings a deep love for soccer and Los Angeles, as well as a sharp read on social creators and trends. You’ll run the systems that keep our creator work moving, mentor a Senior Social Coordinator, and help turn big ideas into clean, on-time execution. If you believe bold storytelling deserves disciplined execution, you’ll feel right at home here.

Key Responsibilities:

Creator & Influencer Marketing Operations

  • Own the operational execution of creator and influencer partnerships across organic, gifted, and paid campaigns.
  • Support creator discovery and outreach by building and maintaining prospect lists, creator pipelines, and partnership trackers.
  • Manage creator campaigns end-to-end once approved: timelines, deliverables, posting requirements, contracts, approvals, and go-live accuracy.
  • Review and organize creator content to ensure it meets brand guidelines, disclosure requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Track creator performance and document learnings to inform future partnerships and long-term creator strategy.

Social Media Operations

  • Help own the master social content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, Bluesky, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Partner with the Director of Social Content & Strategy to translate strategy into executable plans, timelines, and platform-specific publishing schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Social Coordinator to ensure day-to-day execution runs cleanly while maintaining clear ownership and accountability.
  • Partner with internal teams and the NWSL internal teams to share trends, updates, and best practices.

Community Management & Brand Presence

  • Oversee community engagement across platforms, including comments, DMs, and audience sentiment.
  • Surface insights, FAQs, emerging narratives, and potential risks to the Director of Social Content & Strategy and cross-functional partners.
  • Identify opportunities to amplify community voices, supporter groups, UGC, and organic creator moments aligned with ACFC values.

Reporting, Insights & Optimization

  • Help track key performance metrics across creator and social campaigns, including engagement, reach, growth, and content performance.
  • Compile clear, actionable reports that highlight what’s working, what’s not, and where to iterate.
  • Monitor platform updates, competitor activity, and trends to inform operational improvements and content opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with platform account leads.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Integrated Marketing, Partnerships/Revenue, Community Impact, Creative, and Legal to keep campaigns moving efficiently.
  • Ensure workflows, approvals, and timelines are clearly communicated and consistently adhered to across teams.
  • Proactively flag risks, delays, or compliance concerns early and help problem-solve before they escalate.

People Management & Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the Senior Social Coordinator, providing clear direction, feedback, and development support.
  • Set expectations around execution standards, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Help build scalable systems that allow the team to grow without sacrificing quality.
  • Attendance for all home games.
  • Travel as needed to attend events and games.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in creator marketing, ideally within sports, entertainment, lifestyle, culture-driven brand, or a creative, scrappy, startup brand environment.
  • 2+ years of experience managing direct reports with a focus on mentorship and development.
  • Hands-on experience managing creator and influencer partnerships.
  • Proven experience managing multi-platform social operations with high accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong fluency in creator tools, social scheduling, and analytics (Sprout Social, CreatorIQ, Tribe, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of platform-specific best practices, formatting, and publishing norms.
  • Strong understanding of soccer, particularly the NWSL, including gameday events, statistics, football culture, and player highlights.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a sharp eye for detail and follow-through.
  • Comfort managing timelines, approvals, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Clear, proactive communicator who escalates issues early and collaborates with empathy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent real-world experience.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including travel during the soccer season.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong online portfolio that includes examples of work.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in creating and managing short-form video content that aligns with emerging trends.
  • Familiarity with organizational tools such as Asana, and Slack.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite for light asset prep or formatting.
  • A passion for staying connected to trends, while navigating sensitive topics effectively.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, Japanese, or Portuguese.
  • Understanding of SEO, social discoverability, and search-driven content strategy.

ACFC Perks & Benefits:

  • Hybrid work environment.
  • Fully funded comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401K plan.
  • Flexible PTO policy.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Cell phone reimbursement.
  • In-office snacks and beverages.
  • Dog-friendly HQ in Santa Monica.
  • Complimentary tickets to home games.

Compensation:

In addition to the benefits above, this role's pay range is between $75,000 to $80,000.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
