About Nen Creative

Nen Creative partners with tech startups to launch bold ideas into the world, creating the brands and stories that fuel their growth.

Since 2022, we've partnered with some of the world's top founders and institutions, including Amazon, Andreessen Horowitz, Cursor, Mercor, Listen Labs, Tech Week, Cartesia, and many more.

We're growing quickly and looking for ambitious people who want to help build the company alongside us.

About the Role

We're looking for a Creative Operations Manager to own staffing, capacity planning, and resource operations across our creative studio.

You'll work closely with Creative Producers, creative leads, and company leadership to make sure every project has the right team in place at the right time. You'll maintain a clear view across active and upcoming work, identify capacity constraints and scheduling conflicts, and help the studio make better staffing decisions as priorities shift.

A major part of this role is resource management, but you'll also help improve the systems and workflows behind how our studio operates. As we grow, you'll identify where our processes are breaking down and build better ways to plan, staff, track, and coordinate creative work.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is exceptionally organized, proactive, and excited by both solving today's scheduling problems and building better systems for tomorrow.

What You'll DoResource & Capacity Management
  • Own resource planning across all active and upcoming creative projects

  • Maintain a clear, up-to-date view of team availability, workload, project schedules, and upcoming capacity

  • Identify capacity gaps, scheduling conflicts, and potential bottlenecks before they become problems

  • Track utilization and help leadership understand where the team is over- or under-capacity

  • Anticipate future resource needs based on the studio's pipeline and upcoming work

Project Staffing & Scheduling
  • Match projects with the right internal team members based on skills, experience, availability, and project needs

  • Partner with Creative Producers and creative leads to understand staffing needs and build the right project teams

  • Support staffing for new business opportunities and incoming projects before work kicks off

  • Manage staffing changes as project scopes, timelines, and priorities shift

  • Coordinate internal staffing across shoots and maintain visibility into the studio-wide shoot calendar

Creative Operations & Systems
  • Build and maintain the systems, trackers, and dashboards used for resource and project planning

  • Improve how projects are planned, staffed, kicked off, tracked, and handed off across the studio

  • Identify recurring bottlenecks or operational issues and develop practical solutions

  • Create clearer, more consistent processes for Creative Producers and creative teams

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work and reduce unnecessary coordination

  • Help leadership understand the operational impact of upcoming work before commitments are made

What We're Looking For
  • 3–5 years of experience in creative operations, resource management, project coordination, creative production, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of creative production workflows, including pre-production, shoot execution, and post-production

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

  • Naturally proactive — you see potential problems before someone has to point them out

  • Strong people skills and the ability to build trust with creatives, project leads, and leadership

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and constantly changing timelines

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Able to make thoughtful decisions with incomplete information

  • Resourceful, persistent, and comfortable working without a rigid playbook

  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, project management tools, and quick to learn new systems

  • Naturally interested in finding better ways for teams to work

Why Join Us
  • Play a central role in how a fast-growing creative studio operates

  • Work across a wide range of production projects for ambitious technology companies

  • Help build the staffing, planning, and operational systems the company will use as it scales

  • Work closely with Creative Producers, creative leadership, and company leadership

  • Take ownership of an important function with visibility across the entire studio

  • Remote-friendly, flexible, and entrepreneurial environment

  • Healthcare coverage, PTO, and company holidays

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
