ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Creative Director role blends creative strategy with instructional design expertise. This role is responsible for shaping the organization’s learning and development vision, designing engaging training programs, and leading a team to deliver high-impact learning solutions that align with business goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Strategic Leadership: Develop and champion the enterprise Learning & Development (L&D) strategy, ensuring it supports organizational objectives and talent development.
· Program Design & Delivery: Use instructional design methodologies to create formal, informal, social, mobile, video, and assessment-based training programs.
· Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough needs assessments to determine training priorities, evaluate off-the-shelf solutions, and select vendors that best meet business needs.
· Learning Transfer: Design programs with pre-, during-, and post-learning activities to maximize knowledge retention and application.
· Curriculum Development: Build and maintain a professional area of practice with capabilities, tools, methodologies, and curricula.
· Collaboration: Partner with L&D colleagues, marketing, other business units, subject matter experts, and Client stakeholders to align training with business strategies.
· Benchmarking & Innovation: Continuously benchmark against industry best practices and incorporate emerging technologies to keep programs effective and engaging.
· Quality Assurance: Provide feedback on all classes and ensure training materials meet high standards of quality and creativity.
Qualifications· Experience: 6+ years of proven experience in instructional design, L&D strategy, and program delivery in automotive industry; experience in creative or marketing environments is a plus.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, human resources, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.
· Skills: Strong strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, project management, communication, and leadership abilities.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in instructional design software, learning management systems, and multimedia tools.

The Creative Director, Learning & Development serves as the bridge between business strategy and learning delivery, ensuring that training programs are not only effective but also engaging and aligned with the organization’s creative and strategic vision. This role directly impacts employee engagement, skill development, and overall business performance.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $90k to $115k based on current experience.
