Collier.Simon is an independent, full-service creative agency in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. We work with our client partners to develop creative solutions that truly move the needle. Clients range from Fortune 500-type household names to up-and-comers across a variety of industries / verticals. We’re in the midst of a tech-powered transformation, using AI to supercharge creativity, not replace it, and we’re looking for curious minds excited to explore AI as a tool to scale, spark, and speed up creativity.
We’re growing our creative team and are looking for a Creative Director to lead fast-paced, high-impact client work, specifically a Tier 3 auto client. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in performance-driven digital environments, loves building brands, and knows how to connect bold creative thinking with data-informed iteration. You’ll work across brand platforms, digital activations, and high-volume creative for paid and organic social content.
You Might Be a Fit If You…- Have 7–10+ years of agency or digital creative experience, ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Have led creative teams (art, copy, video) and know how to grow people while raising the bar on output
- Have experience on Tier 2 or Tier 3 auto or similarly structured accounts (localization, dealer support, platform-specific needs) — a major plus
- Are a compelling presenter who’s confident in the room (or on Zoom), able to clearly sell in creative ideas, articulate strategic rationale, and build trust with senior-level clients
- Are equally confident setting vision and getting hands-on when needed (player/coach)
- Can drive creative strategy, shape briefs with Account/Strategy, and translate performance signals into clear creative hypotheses
- Are a systems thinker who can build scalable creative frameworks (toolkits, modular systems, content architectures) without losing freshness or craft
- Are fluent in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects)
- Lead creative direction across campaigns and content—owning the “why,” the “what,” and the “how” from concept through delivery
- Partner with Account and Strategy to shape briefs, define creative approach, and develop testing roadmaps based on performance insights
- Oversee and elevate creative across channels, ensuring platform-native execution, brand consistency, and breakthrough quality
- Mentor and manage a pod of designers, copywriters, and editors—building a culture of craft, speed, and accountability in a remote environment
- Lead client presentations—clearly articulating creative strategy, selling in concepts, and confidently representing the work in high-visibility settings
- Drive the development and evolution of brand systems, visual identities, content frameworks, and campaign toolkits
- Ensure day-to-day team flow is clear—prioritizing work, protecting quality, and unblocking production to meet fast timelines
- Step in to concept, write, design, revise, or present when needed—especially in high-visibility or high-velocity moments
- Collaborate with Production to ensure creative is feasible, efficient, and scalable across deliverables and formats
- Stay current on platform trends, design tools, and AI-enabled creative workflows, and help integrate what’s useful into the team’s process
- 7–10+ years of experience in a creative or digital agency setting
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand building, performance creative, and creative across the entire funnel. Huge plus if you have experience with 360 campaigns
- Proven experience leading creative teams, including mentoring across disciplines
- Ability to think and create across dozens of brands, maintaining consistency while tailoring to unique audiences
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—both written and verbal
- Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, AE)
- Highly organized and comfortable juggling multiple creative tracks under short timelines
- Experience collaborating with Account/Strategy to interpret data, create hypotheses, and iterate against performance feedback
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design, communications, or visual arts
- Automotive experience (Tier 2 or Tier 3) strongly preferred
- A highly collaborative, ambitious team of creatives, strategists, and makers
- A remote work environment with PST-based hours (LA-based candidates preferred)
- Full-time salary and benefits including healthcare, 401(k), generous PTO, and creative growth support
Please submit your portfolio and a brief note describing your agency experience.
