Nelson Mullins is seeking an attorney to join its litigation team in the Downtown Los Angeles office.  This is a unique opportunity to join an expanding practice that offers a range of litigation services to clients in a variety of industries.

A Day in the Life

The Downtown Los Angeles office of Nelson Mullins is in the historic Bunker Hill neighborhood, within walking distance of Los Angeles County’s busiest state, federal, appellate, and complex courthouses. Debuting in August 2024, the office quickly distinguished itself by obtaining a series of successful results in complex litigation matters and establishing a preeminent trial practice. Our attorneys have decades of experience in high value business/commercial litigation, complex litigation, products liability, consumer class actions, toxic torts, privacy, false advertising, greenwashing, and general negligence/premises liability. Serving as national, regional, and trial counsel to a host of Fortune 200 companies, including global entities, in a wide range of industries, our attorneys have a proven track record of detail-driven case work-up, creative client counseling and defense verdicts in jurisdictions across the country. Nelson Mullins attorneys have applied that same level of persistence and tenacity to ensure that the Downtown LA office reflects the diversity of the city and its pro-bono efforts in the areas of civil rights and impact litigation.

We Know You

You have at least 8+ years of meaningful experience in handling product liability and toxic tort litigation matters in a mid-size or large law firm setting. You can draft and argue discovery motions, dispositive motions, and/or class certification motions. You can draft and prepare pleadings and discovery, prepare for, take and defend depositions, manage document production, argue discovery, dispositive motions, and/or class certification motions, etc. You will assist in both jury trials and bench trials, and you bring an entrepreneurial spirit to a growing office. Experience in the areas of asbestos, talc and/or silica litigation preferred.  You possess exceptional oral and written advocacy skills with strong academic credentials. You are adept in case management, ready to take the lead, and are admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar.

  • In Los Angeles, the salary/wage range is $250,000 - $330,000 annually with trail offer depending on experience . In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
