The Company

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace, defense, and industrial partners manufacture critical hardware up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost. Backed by leading investors including Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz, our interdisciplinary teams combine advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing capabilities with a mission to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond.

The Role

As a key member of the Corporate Development team, the Corporate Development Analyst (sourcing) will focus on proactively sourcing, mapping, and qualifying high-potential acquisition and strategic partnership targets that accelerate Hadrian’s growth objectives. This role will focus on venture backed targets and will be immersed in the VC ecosystem. This role plays an essential part in identifying opportunities early in the deal lifecycle and feeding strategic deal flow into the broader Corporate Development pipeline.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, business leaders, and cross-functional partners to build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities, reaching founders and executives in a way that drives meaningful conversations and insights.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead market research, sector mapping, and target identification to develop a high-quality pipeline of potential VC backed acquisitions or strategic partnership candidates.

  • Perform initial qualification and evaluation of targets including business model, strategic fit, competitive landscape, and high-level financial assessment.

  • Manage outbound engagement and first-touch outreach, including crafting compelling outreach messaging to founders and executives.

  • Regularly attend industry events, conduct in-person meetings with founders and operators, and proactively build and maintain long-term relationships across the venture capital ecosystem.

  • Track and maintain an organized deal origination pipeline, including qualification criteria, status, and next steps.

  • Partner with Corporate Development leadership to prioritize opportunities and prepare early-stage briefing materials for review.

  • Monitor broader venture and industry activity (fundraising, exits, consolidation trends) to surface timely opportunities.

  • Support development of internal frameworks and tools that improve origination, tracking, and prioritization processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–5+ years of experience in corporate development, venture capital, investment banking, private equity, strategy, or a related field with a focus on sourcing, origination, or early stage evaluation.

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly map and understand markets and competitive positions.

  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to engage with founders, executives, and internal stakeholders.

  • Highly self-directed with demonstrated ownership mentality and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with deal sourcing tools (e.g., Crunchbase, PitchBook, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) and CRM workflow best practices.

Nice to Have

  • Prior success in building or expanding deal pipelines for strategic or financial transactions.

  • Experience in venture-backed technology, industrial hardware, or advanced manufacturing sectors.

  • Existing network of founders, investors, and strategic operators relevant to Hadrian’s target markets.

  • Experience drafting early-stage investment memos or strategic summaries.

What Sets You Apart

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Passion for identifying emerging innovation, competitive disruptors, and strategic differentiators.

  • Ability to build relationships with founders and VC’s.

Compensation

For this role, the target salary range is $80,000 - $120,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).

This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Benefits

  • 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees

  • 401k

  • Relocation stipend if you’re moving from outside of LA

  • Flexible vacation policy

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
