Sony Pictures Television (SPT) is seeking a Coordinator, Corporate Communications, to support the execution of communications initiatives across the Corporate Communications team. This role helps coordinate media relations, executive communications, communications projects, events, and department operations that support the visibility and reputation of Sony Pictures Television and its businesses.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong communication and project coordination skills and an interest in the entertainment industry.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Communications & Content Coordination

  • Edit, proofread, and format communications materials, including press releases, talking points, FAQs, presentations, and internal communications using established messaging and templates.
  • Coordinate content reviews, approvals, stakeholder inputs, and communications distribution processes.
  • Maintain editorial calendars, project trackers, media lists, and communications resources.
  • Assist with research and information gathering to support communications initiatives and business priorities.

Media Relations Support

  • Support trade and business media relations activities across Sony Pictures Television.
  • Assist with media outreach, interview coordination, speaking engagements, and press opportunities.
  • Monitor media coverage, industry news, and competitive activity, and prepare reporting summaries.
  • Maintain media contact databases and track media inquiries and activity.

Executive Communications & Stakeholder Support

  • Assist with executive briefing materials, presentations, talking points, and visibility opportunities.
  • Coordinate information gathering and stakeholder input for communications initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional communications efforts with internal and external partners

Events & Project Coordination

  • Support communications activities for screenings, press tours, conferences, awards campaigns, and industry events.
  • Coordinate project timelines, approvals, meetings, and follow-up actions.
  • Assist with presentations, agendas, logistics, and special projects as assigned.

Department Operations

  • Maintain department databases, archives, contact lists, distribution tools, and reporting resources.
  • Assist with invoices, expense reports, travel coordination, and department logistics.
  • Support the day-to-day operational needs of the Corporate Communications team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of communications, public relations, marketing, entertainment, media, or related experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project coordination capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Professionalism, sound judgment, discretion, and a collaborative mindset.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $52,800 - $ 66,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
