We’re looking for a dynamic Controller to lead our clients accounting function, strengthen financial processes, and ensure the highest integrity of reporting as we scale. This is a high-visibility role that partners closely with executive leadership to support strategic growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
Manage general ledger integrity, account reconciliations, and financial controls
Lead financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAP
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with rapid multi-unit growth
Budgeting & Forecasting
Partner with FP&A and Operations to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Provide insights on key cost drivers, margin optimization, and revenue performance
Monitor capex spend and support ROI analytics for new locations and initiatives
Cash Flow & Treasury
Manage cash flow planning, banking operations, and vendor payments
Oversee AP/AR functions and optimize working capital processes
Audit, Tax & Compliance
Coordinate all external audits and tax filings with third-party partners
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
Support inventory management, POS integrations, and cost accounting processes
Systems & Process Improvements
Support ongoing digital transformation across accounting and restaurant systems
Enhance efficiency through new technology tools, automation, and best practices
Leadership & Collaboration
Provide mentorship to accounting team members and support future staff expansion
Cultivate strong cross-functional relationships with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and IT
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
CPA or MBA highly preferred
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in multi-unit retail, hospitality, or restaurant environments
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX familiarity a plus)
Hands-on experience with ERP and point-of-sale systems; NetSuite preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities
Exceptional communication and leadership skills
