  • Structure and negotiate complex agreements across direct sales, strategic partnerships, channel relationships, and government programs

  • Partner with business development, legal, finance, and leadership to design deal structures and pricing approaches that align customer requirements, regulatory constraints, and Northwood’s business goals

  • Shape acquisition and contracting approaches early in the customer lifecycle, helping turn pipeline opportunities into executable paths to award

  • Build and maintain internal playbooks, templates, and negotiation frameworks for recurring contract and pricing scenarios

  • Support proposal, capture, and partnership efforts by advising on contract structure, pricing mechanics, terms and conditions, and overall deal strategy

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in contracts, pricing strategy, deal strategy, government acquisition, or complex commercial negotiations

  • Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and pricing approaches across government, commercial, and partner-driven transactions, with strong knowledge of U.S. Government contracting frameworks including FAR/DFARS, OTAs, etc.

  • Ability to work in-person in Los Angeles or Washington, DC

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience as a U.S. Government Contracting Officer, acquisition professional, or comparable government contracts leader

  • Experience at a high-growth aerospace, defense-tech, infrastructure, or enterprise technology company

  • Experience supporting international government business, including foreign government sales or cross-border contractual arrangements

  • Experience developing contracting and pricing approaches for commercial products sold into government or other regulated markets

  • Experience with OTAs, IDIQs, GSA-based procurement, teaming agreements, and subcontracting structures

  • Active security clearance, or ability to maintain or obtain one

Additional Requirements:

  • This position requires successfully obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment. While the clearance may not be immediately necessary upon hire, we encourage you to initiate the application process promptly upon accepting this offer. Your ability to secure the necessary clearance is essential for fulfilling key responsibilities of the role. Should you be unable to obtain it, Northwood Space reserves the right to modify or terminate your employment to align with optional needs.

  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed

  • This role requires being on-site 5 days per week

Compensation at Northwood Space is based on role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary depending on job-related skills, education, experience, and technical expertise. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
