As a Contracts Administrator  – Level 5 located in Redondo Beach, Oxnard, or Goleta, CA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position also requires up to 10% travel between the three locations.

Our Contracts Administrator is responsible for supporting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration and customer contact activities to provide and ensure proper contract execution and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer requirements. You will be an embedded member of the program management team, supporting program success and new growth opportunities.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Monitor contracts and associated program(s) to ensure contractual obligations are communicated and understood, providing general contract adherence oversight
• Participate in contract proposal coordination and preparation to ensure timely submission to customers
• Participate in contract negotiations of a complex nature, including commercial and international contracts, in a timely manner under tight deadlines and pressure
• Manage contract administration and customer contract activities of assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications 
• Offer guidance and work collaboratively with a multitude of organizational functions ranging from technical, program, finance, global supply chain and security for seamless contract administration
• Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, prepare and manage contract change requests for review and approval; maintain historical information 
• Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies
• Build customer confidence despite geographical separation as well as be able to effectively cultivate those relationships
• Enter and maintain contract data into Contract Management System or Enterprise Accounting System; prioritize activities while working on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Other duties as assigned

  

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with12 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 8 years of professional experience.  Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• No clearance required to start
• Experience working large competitive DoD proposals.
• Experience negotiating and administering various contract types of varying sizes and types of agreements with the DoD.
• Thorough understanding of the requirements of applicable government regulations such as FAR or DFAR.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Contract administration or contract management experience 
• Experience managing cost-type or firm fixed price procurement contract types, experience with other transactions is a plus 
• Knowledge of federal government contracting requirements; FAR/DFAR interpretations  is a plus

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $146,300.00 - $219,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
