About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. This role will be pivotal in managing complex procurement and contractual agreements, ensuring compliance, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support our organization’s operational and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and a deep understanding of the aerospace industry’s regulatory environment. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Contract Management: Develop, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts, ensuring terms align with company goals and regulatory requirements
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, driving performance, cost optimization, and alignment with company values
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring business continuity and regulatory compliance
  • Claims Management: Investigate, evaluate, and resolve contract claims and disputes in a timely and effective manner
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to ensure contracts meet budgetary constraints and deliver optimal value
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage supplier performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Strategic Procurement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute supply chain strategies that align with organizational goals
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all contracts comply with relevant aerospace standards, regulations, and quality requirements (e.g., ITAR, AS9100, FAA and other governing bodies)
  • Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior staff on contract management best practices and processes

 Who You are: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred

Experience:  

  • 7+ years of experience in contract management or supply chain within the aerospace industry
  • Proven expertise in contract negotiation and supplier management
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain software
  • Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, PMP, or equivalent) are an asset

Where You’ll be 

Otto Aerospace is currently a remote workplace. We will relocate to our permanent headquarters in Jacksonville, FL beginning in late 2026. This individual will be expected to relocate at that time. Exceptions will be considered for exceptional candidates. This role  requires travel 20-25% to meet at our temporary facility in Fort Worth, TX (prior to relocation) or other locations in support of program activities.
