The Contract Management Specialist manages contract administration, collaborates with stakeholders, ensures data integrity, and supports contract negotiations and compliance processes.

The Contract Management Specialist is responsible for contract administration activities supporting the Contract Management Department. Supports all contract administration functions to operationalize agreements, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring process, document, and data integrity, and developing and improving processes and procedures.

*Assignment Length: Short term, 6-12 month assignment with potential to convert to a Full-Time, regular position
Core Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions
- Assure selection of appropriate contract template agreement, amendment, BAA, and NDA are utilized to external parties.
- Review, redline and draft contracts utilizing approved standardized contract templates or external documents.
- Track and maintain version control of redline changes to agreements.
- Support administrative and 3rd party contract negotiations to ensure appropriate processes and documentation.
- Facilitate sending contracts electronically for execution to authorized signatory parties.
- Maintain and ensure proposals, contracts and rates are entered timely into organizational databases.
- Support provider contract rate analysis, pulling data from internal modeling system.
- Maintain internal databases service line & rate increase to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Coordinate payor and provider onboarding and offboarding to operationalize contracts.
- Coordinate contract termination management processes.
- Consult with legal counsel on contractual terms or language modifications when required under the approval of the Manager or VP.
- Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with Manager about contractual issues.
- Disseminate contract notifications to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and document SOPs and job aids to support administrative functions and processes.
- Ensure Catalight policies and procedures are always followed, and legal counsel is consulted when required.
- Adhere to Federal and State laws and regulations as applicable such as HIPAA & Privacy laws.
- Additional job duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
- Must have 2+ years of health plan and/or provider network contract management experience.
- BA in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred (equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of degree).
Knowledge & Skills:
- Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
- A commitment to the values of the organization while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patience
- and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), especially Excel and related computer software.
- Work in an exciting, fast-paced high-energy environment while effectively multitasking and managing day-to-day responsibilities without supervision.
- Personable; able to work comfortably with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills; frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
- Must be highly detail oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate effectively within the work environment, read and write using the primary language with the workplace.
- Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff, and others in the workplace continuously.
- Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and others in the workplace.
- Utilize computer and cell phone for effective communication.
- Ability to utilize virtual meetings software (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
Conditions of Employment
- Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
- Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
- Must attend any required training.
