The Associate Director, Substance Use Disorder Programs will lead the growth and expansion of Spring Health’s Substance Use Disorder Program within Specialty Care. This is a full time position that is fully remote that will report to the Senior Director of the Specialty Care Programs.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as clinical lead for SUD providers, peer recovery, and care navigation teams
- Lead design and development of comprehensive SUD treatment programs and scaling the existing program
- Lead tracking and reporting on program outcomes
- Monitor and drive team performance on KPIs, including engagement in care
- Partner with Business Strategy, Product and Operations team members to drive program KPIs
- Develop integrations with health plans and build referral channels for identifying and routing members to care
- Support sales and account management teams as clinical expert
- Manage external partner provider relationships
What success looks like:
- Launch net new services for our existing SUD program by EOY
- Maintain clinical quality and utilization outcomes of our SUD program
- Scale existing SUD services
What you’ll bring:
- Licensed behavioral health practitioner (psychologist, social worker, therapist, or counselor)
- Must have experience in direct care provision of substance use disorders (SUD).
- Preference for experience with highly acute populations in higher level of care settings (e.g. IOP, PHP, Residential, Inpatient/Detox)
- Preference for experience providing direct clinical care to both adults and adolescents SUD
- Must have experience with evidence-based treatments for SUD, including extensive training and experience in harm reduction, recovery-oriented, and abstinence-based models and a working knowledge of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria
- Must be data driven and research-informed
- Must have experience working on interprofessional teams to manage patient care (e.g. psychiatry, peer support, case management, nursing, etc)
- Must have experience in clinical program management
- Must have experience with clinical program design and implementation including experience collaborating with Product teams to build care team tools
- Must have 3+ years of experience managing clinical teams with demonstrated ability to inspire and lead a high-performing and highly-valued team
- Knowledge of and experience with healthcare systems including health plans
- Startup experience strongly preferred
- Comfort with EHRs and electronic case management tools
- Working knowledge of Google Office Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.)
- Proactive approach to project management
- Experience developing creative solutions to complex problems
- The ability to travel to NYC Headquarters 2x per year
The target base salary range for this position is $126,740 - $158,425, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
