Video Editor
FabFitFun is looking for a Video Editor to join the Video team at our West Hollywood HQ. Reporting to the Director, Video, the ideal candidates have experience in all facets of post-production with the ability to edit a high volume of content for various platforms.
What You’ll Do:
- Edit a high volume of in-house original videos, external-facing sizzles, Paid Media advertising videos, and create various versions of edits, optimized for different platforms that align with FabFitFun’s style guide and overall brand direction
- Apply finishing and delivery skills to each edit, including: color correction, sound design, sound mixing/eq, graphics and multi-format/channel delivery
- Attend pre-production meetings and kickoffs to make sure all technical and creative concerns are solved before production takes off, informing and creating seamless communication and workflow between production and post-production
- Mentor during onboarding of Junior Video Editors, freelancers, and assistant editors, being a resource and guide for getting new editors up-to-speed with our processes and best practices
- Work with Direct, Video to innovate new ways to repurpose and improve our production value, assist with the planning and scheduling of larger, multi-person edit campaigns, and help oversee the completion of team projects
- Contribute ideas and provide feedback on videos in post-production
- Regularly research the latest ideas and techniques in video production, editing, and gaming to maintain innovation and growth
What You’ll Bring:
- 4+ years of post-production experience within creative, film, media & entertainment-related environments
- Highly Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects video suite of products as well as a strong understanding of Adobe Audition, and Adobe Media Encoder
- Must be able to handle/prioritize multiple projects and quick turn-around deadlines independently
- Strong organizational skills and time management are critical for success in this role
- Ability to excel in a team environment, ability to build/maintain positive relationships through strong collaboration efforts
- Strong understanding of video compression and video codes
- Understanding of Google Sheets and the general G-Suite
- A passion and curiosity for learning, creating, and cutting digital content for both web and broadcast television
- Has to be able to work collaboratively and carry a team player mentality
Bonus:
- Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience with sound mixing and color correction
- Familiarity with broadcast delivery workflows
- Experience coordinating Post-Production timelines
