Duties:

  • Coordinate Sky’s live content projects, including: Sky seasons production (seasonal-related content & features); Season teams production support; Collaboration with NetEase.

  • Oversee production to ensure the on-time completion and quality of all tasks and deliverables for both Season teams.

  • Provide customized support to each team member to ensure efficient processes and eliminate roadblocks & resource constraints, including: Build personal & team bugs dashboards; Prioritize & triage team backlogs; Gather technical and design requirements, enter and follow up on tasks, organizing informational and gameplay sessions.

  • Foster sustainable development practices by analyzing and iterating on the development
    processes.

  • Work as a liaison between the Seasons and other teams to provide them with necessary information about upcoming content & feature releases to make engaging Marketing and
    Community programs.

  • Organize feedback & review loops, test and prepare content for public
    releases.

  • Enhance cross-functional communication by creating custom communication channels and facilitating meetings & conference calls.

  • Work with the discipline producers and development leads on project roadmaps, scheduling, and resourcing for the seasons.

  • Build and maintain season development schedule. Break down and assign tasks based on the high-level schedule.

  • Drive season-related milestones completion. Anticipate, identify,
    communicate, and help resolve bottlenecks that may compromise quality or schedule.

  • Create work reports as needed and escalate identified risks to the management. Act as a release manager for production as needed.

  • Contribute to thatgamecompany’s unique culture and vision, positive work
    environment, and growth. Project manager for collaboration with NetEase(China).

  • Provide project management support for the regional partners.

  • Facilitate game development cross-departmental meetings & syncs, preparing meeting agendas, taking meeting notes, and converting them into action points.

  • Convert internal and external development requests into actionable tasks, prioritize,
    and provide information necessary for the successful completion of projects.

  • Create & maintain partners' Confluence pages. Support joint initiatives such as charity cooperation, illustration for the community, global promotions, and helping review NetEase tax receipts.

  • Organize regular codebase updates and technical discussions aimed at improving game quality.

  • Review and provide regional feedback on promotions and marketing campaigns proposed by our or partners' Marketing teams.

  • Review in-house development to ensure compliance with regional standards and regulations.

  • Provides translation services as needed.

  • Assist with getting regional content ratings and preparing regional documentation related to the game.

  • Provide design and cultural input for the in-game content to ensure it is aligned with the company’s standards and players' expectations.

  • Telecommuting is permitted.


Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Game Development, Marketing, Entertainment or related field(s) plus 2 years of related experience.

Requires 2 years of experience in the following:
• Game development experience in a Production or Project Manager role.
• Experience as the primary producer responsible for shipping a major game feature or entire
project.
• Proven experience working on live, mobile, or social games, as well as direct marketing,
advertisement, or brand-building expertise with the IT/games market in Asia.
• Experience working with online retail platforms, building marketing & advertising strategies for live events in IT for the Chinese market.
• Proven experience with iterative product development and agile/scrum methodologies and tools.
• Chinese game market expertise.
• Cultural expertise for Asian regions.
• Shipping innovative new live experiences to players.
• Ability to design and facilitate sessions that lead to clear outcomes.


Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) required.


40 hours/week, $94,400 - $130,470 per year.
