About GRAI

GRAI is reimagining how music is discovered and shared, built around the social layer of it. We're pre-launch, moving fast, and building the infrastructure for how the next generation of artists connects with their audience.

The role

We need someone who can make GRAI show up on people's feeds and make them stop. You'll film, edit and ship short-form video for our grai.fm TikTok and Instagram; a steady volume of native content that tests formats and finds the ones that travel.

You'll work directly with GRAI's marketing team: we bring the strategy, the product and the music, you bring the face, the ideas and the output.

What you'll own
  • Filming and editing short-form video for GRAI's social media: you're on camera, not behind a brief

  • Format testing: trying things, reading the numbers, doubling down on what performs and killing what doesn't

  • Boosting GRAI's presence: followers, saves, shares, comments.

What we're looking for
  • A portfolio of short-form video that performed

  • Charisma on camera. This is non-negotiable: the format only works if people want to watch you

  • You shoot and edit yourself

  • Obsessed with music. You have opinions about what's good and why

  • Bonus: you can sing, play, or otherwise perform

What we offer
  • Creative control over what we make, with a direct line to the leading team

  • Ground-floor moment at a music tech company with serious backing and a clear thesis

  • Contract, flexible hours, remote

  • Competitive compensation

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
