Our client is looking for a Content & Communications Assistant to support their content, editorial, and digital presence across multiple channels. They operate within a modern business and brand-building environment focused on thought leadership, founder-driven storytelling, and audience engagement, and they have continued strengthening their visibility and authority in their niche over the past few years.

This is a part-time, 100% remote opportunity for someone who is creative, sharp, proactive, and highly tuned into tone, narrative, and positioning. The right person will help turn research into compelling content, support blog and website updates, and contribute to a broader marketing roadmap with thoughtful execution. This role is ideal for someone who understands that strong marketing is not just about posting often, but about saying the right thing in the right way.

Responsibilities
  • Create research-based carousel content for social media

  • Draft short-form video scripts for platforms such as Reels and TikTok

  • Monitor trends and cultural conversations, especially those related to Canadian founders and women in business

  • Support blog writing and editorial development

  • Assist with content repurposing, formatting, and content adaptation across channels

  • Build deep-dive research briefs on relevant topics such as founder trends, venture capital insights, and economic themes

  • Fact-check content and gather credible citations from trusted sources

  • Update and format blog content inside Shopify

  • Assist with product page and landing page messaging updates

  • Help optimize headlines, meta descriptions, and internal linking for SEO

  • Support SEO-friendly blog publishing workflows

  • Track basic website engagement metrics

  • Contribute to the execution of the broader marketing roadmap

  • Help maintain a high-quality brand voice across content and communications



Requirements
  • Experience creating written content for marketing, communications, content, or brand-focused roles

  • Ability to turn research and insights into engaging, easy-to-digest content

  • Strong copywriting skills with close attention to tone, structure, and clarity

  • Familiarity with short-form content formats and social media storytelling

  • Ability to conduct independent research and fact-check information

  • Working knowledge of Shopify, or the ability to learn it quickly

  • Basic understanding of SEO best practices for blogs and website content

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks independently

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment

  • Interest in AI tools and digital workflows

Qualifications
  • Background in content marketing, communications, editorial support, brand strategy, or a related field

  • Experience developing carousel copy, blog support content, or scriptwriting for short-form video

  • Strong sense of voice, messaging, and audience positioning

  • Ability to balance creativity with structure and execution

  • Comfortable receiving and applying feedback
