    • Drive customer onboarding and technical implementation processes, including management of complex asset and market integrations.

  • Conduct technical analyses working with both internal / external APIs and large timeseries datasets.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on company products and relevant power market, utility, and state programs that impact modeling.

  • Support Tyba Sales and Marketing teams with business development through your battery storage expertise and domain knowledge.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience, ideally in consulting or customer-facing roles.

  • Independent learner who ramps quickly on unfamiliar, technical domains and reasons soundly with limited guidance.

  • Experience driving complex technical integrations end to end, ideally working closely with Engineering and other technical teams.

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and BI tools such as Tableau; familiarity with Python and API-based tools is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal communication and presence: explains complex concepts clearly to any audience and stays composed under tough questions.

  • Excellent written communication: produces polished customer- and executive-facing materials that lead with the "so what."

  • Familiarity with energy markets, trading, or infrastructure financing is a plus.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary: $125K-$155K, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Benefits: Parental leave, medical benefits, and unlimited PTO.

  • Equity Options: Opportunity to own a stake in the company through an employee stock option plan.

  • Flexible Work Environment: Hybrid work model, Bay Area and LA, and team offsites.

What is the interview process like?

Our interview process focuses on core competencies. We want to make sure that you are set up for success at a fast-growing and high-impact startup. We will first get to know each other through conversations about Tyba, your background, and what you are looking for in your next role. While the specifics vary, from there, we will focus on evaluating your skills and experience relevant to the role. Once we have determined whether you are a fit for the team, we will help you get to know the company better and speak with other team members to inform your decision. We prioritize transparency, clear communication, and ensuring that we do our best to find a mutual fit.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
