Shepherd Church is looking for a friendly, organized, and service-minded Connections Team Member to help create an exceptional experience for families and guests in Shepherd Kids. As the first point of contact for many families, you'll play a vital role in helping children and parents feel welcome during our weekend services and various events and making sure everyone feels valued and meaningfully connected.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing church management systems and administrative tools.
  • Ability to recruit, coordinate, and care for volunteers.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for new families at Shepherd Kids.
  • Oversee weekend check-in, guest registration, and lobby operations.
  • Welcome families and answer any questions that come up. 
  • Work at and schedule additional support needed for all Shepherd Kids and Shepherd Youth events to ensure an exceptional experience for kids and their families.
  • Recruit, schedule, and care for guest experience volunteers.
  • Track guest engagement and first-time family registrations.
  • Follow up with new families and help them get connected to Shepherd Church.

Schedule: Part-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly; 15–20 hours per week

  • Wednesday: 5:30 PM–7:00 PM (Shepherd Youth D-Groups)
  • Saturday: 4:00 PM–7:30 PM (Shepherd Kids)
  • Sunday: 7:45 AM–1:00 PM (Shepherd Kids)
  • Additional weekday administrative hours (5–10 hours weekly)
  • Additional evenings, weekday hours, Easter and Christmas services, and special events as required
