The Conflicts Specialist, within the Office of General Counsel, provides a full range of conflicts analysis – from proofreading, quality checking of data provided, researching corporate entities, and identification of potential conflicts (legal and business) to resolution of conflict issues and management of waiver letters and ethical walls.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all aspects of Conflict Inquiries regarding new business and lateral attorneys
  • Conduct corporate business research and analysis
  • Communicate with attorneys in resolution of issues
  • Prepare and analyze reports
  • Maintain database integrity

Skills and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 years’ experience in law firm Conflicts department
  • Confidence in working independently and making decisions quickly
  • Effective communication skills in both verbal and written form
  • Proficient in database management, search engines, Excel, MS Office
  • Familiarity with research tools (D&B and BvD)
  • Proactive, problem-solving, critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, interacting professionally with others
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Dedicated to providing stellar customer service
  • Intapp Open experience preferred
  • Employment law experience preferred

For California, the expected hourly range for this position is between $43.00 and $52.00. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
