Support configuration and data management for acquisition and engineering programs: maintain technical documentation and baselines, track and process Engineering Change Proposals, perform change control and status accounting, prepare reports/metrics, support audits and milestone reviews, and coordinate with engineers, logisticians, program managers, and customers to support weapons systems, software, and aircraft integration.
Saalex is seeking a Configuration/Data Management Specialist in Ridgecrest, CA to support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and acquisition programs. The selected candidate will assist with configuration control, data management, engineering change processes, and technical documentation management to support weapons systems, software, and aircraft integration efforts.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $60k-88k annually (depending upon experience)
Work Location: Onsite.
Essential Functions:
- Support configuration and data management activities for acquisition and engineering programs.
- Collect, organize, maintain, and track technical data, documentation, and program records.
- Maintain configuration control of program baselines, acquisition products, and technical documentation.
- Support the processing and tracking of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Assist with configuration status accounting and change control activities.
- Apply Government-directed documentation control and data management processes.
- Support program milestone reviews, audits, and technical briefings.
- Coordinate with engineers, logisticians, program managers, and customer representatives.
- Prepare reports, metrics, and status updates related to configuration and data management activities.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
Required:
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in configuration management, data management, document control, or a related field.
- Experience maintaining technical documentation and configuration-controlled data.
- Familiarity with Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and change management processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting DoD or NAVAIR acquisition programs.
- Experience supporting software or hardware configuration management activities.
- Familiarity with Government data management requirements.
Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required, interim secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
