As a Compliance Risk Management Director within the Compliance Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) organization, you will lead a dedicated team, tasked with the development and implementation of the Compliance framework for Regulatory Operations. Your role will require effective collaboration with various business lines and global/regional Compliance teams, including Internal Audit, Operational Risk, and other Control functions. You will need a thorough understanding of Compliance and familiarity with regulatory requirements, especially in areas like credit bureau reporting, complaints, US military lending regulations, and customer corrections. Your responsibilities will also include building strong relationships, demonstrating strategic thought leadership, and exhibiting an exceptional ability to influence and challenge various stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a complex Compliance program to manage regulatory exposure in a dynamic and evolving area of the firm.
- Possess strong knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations regarding customer complaints, customer corrections, credit bureau reporting, elder/vulnerable customers, military customers, and overall customer fairness.
- Lead the Compliance strategy for Regulatory Operations by staying informed about the evolving regulatory landscape governing all aspects of regulatory operations, including SCRA, MLA, FCRA, Regulation V, and UDA(A)P.
- Provide strategic guidance and credible review and challenge to senior leaders.
- Work directly with senior leadership in Consumer & Community Banking ( CCB) Operations and across several businesses to engage and influence senior stakeholders in identifying and assessing Compliance risk.
- Demonstrate exceptional people management skills to lead a team of seasoned Compliance officers.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 10+ years of relevant Compliance or related Banking experience, such as Risk Management, Audit, Legal, or similar Control-related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Regulatory Operations, including credit bureau reporting, complaints, US military lending regulations (SCRA/MLA), customer corrections, etc.
- Creative thought leader with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to provide structured conclusions to all levels of management.
- Proven leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across a highly matrixed organization.
- Ability to set and manage expectations at all levels, including team members, peers, business partners, and senior and executive management.
- Excellent relationship skills, highly collaborative, and able to build rapport and credibility quickly with all levels of the organization.
- Executive presence, comfortable interacting with, presenting to, and influencing senior leaders.
