Are you an experienced senior leader with extensive knowledge of the payments business and regulations, with regulatory advisory experience and a passion for innovation and stakeholder engagement?
The Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement (GRDE) function within Payments Controls is responsible for managing regulations and driving regulatory compliance for Payments globally. In order to ensure that the business is kept abreast of regulatory changes in the fast and evolving Payments business, and to ensure that regulatory risks are adequately managed, the Payments Control organization is seeking an Executive Director level candidate to provide regulatory advisory capability and lead the standardization of the regulatory change management processes within Payments.
As an Executive Director within the Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement (GRDE) function, you will be responsible for leading the execution of the GRDE Regulatory Change strategy. This includes working in partnership with Legal to provide advisory capability to senior leadership from the business and other stakeholder groups, and facilitating regulatory impact discussions. You will also be responsible for working with the wider team to promote efficiency across the end to end process. Leveraging your in-depth understanding of payments regulations, you will provide guidance on the impact of regulatory changes to the business.

Job responsibilities
- Work closely with key stakeholders including Legal and support the business by providing advisory capability
- Review existing and upcoming regulations and advise the business of the impact of the regulatory changes to their products and processes
- Manage stakeholder engagements and facilitate collaboration among diverse teams to drive conclusion on regulatory impact and maintain clear communication channels with stakeholders
- Work effectively with relevant stakeholders to identify and implement process efficiencies and oversee the end to end regulatory life cycle for designated areas
- Support regulatory exams and produce clear regulatory insights that inform decisions
- Manage a team and drive culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and efficiencies in processes
- Provide guidance and training on Payments related regulations
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Extensive knowledge of the Payments business; including existing and new emerging payment regulations and trends
- Significant experience in providing regulatory advisory services
- Regulatory Change Management skills with the ability to lead and facilitate regulatory discussions with leaders from the business, Legal, Operations and Compliance
- Strong managerial and leadership skills
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex regulatory concepts to senior leadership
- Ability to establish strong relationships with other parts of a large organization
- Proactive approach to problem solving, owning the issues and having the determination to follow tasks/issues through to resolution
- Detail oriented, with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control
- Experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse workgroups
- Proven ability to achieve quality results in a rapidly changing environment requiring flexibility / adaptability to changeable directives
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Extensive experience in the financial services sector, in a leadership position within a regulatory environment
- Law background or experience working as a regulator in the financial services sector
- Ability to deliver an actionable roadmap
- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create and evaluate risk and control environment in conjunction with business partners
