As a key member of the People Operations team, the Sr. Compensation Analyst will support the strategy, execution, and governance of our global compensation programs. You’ll bring functional expertise with an ability to support and scale competitive, cost-effective programs that attract and retain top talent across diverse employee populations. You will partner cross-functionally to ensure our Total Rewards strategy aligns with business goals, builds equity across functions (Corporate, Retail, and Fulfillment Centers), and enhances the employee experience.

This role reports to the Sr. Director, People Operations.

What you will do:

  • Maintain and update job architecture frameworks to support internal equity, career pathing, and market competitiveness.

  • Drive compensation planning cycles (merit, promotion, bonus) in collaboration with HRBPs and Finance.

  • Collaborate with HRBPs and stakeholders to address compensation issues, calibration sessions, analyze comp data, and drive forward implementation of org-wide comp initiatives

  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and international regulatory requirements (including ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, FSLA, and SOX).

  • Assist with compensation survey participation and analysis to ensure alignment on compensation practices in key markets

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Payroll to proactively address legislative changes and maintain policy alignment.

  • Advise on compensation across all locations—including Retail, Fulfillment Centers, and HQ (U.S. and Europe).

  • Provide support for Compensation Committee materials

  • Manage U.S. compensation programs and drive international comp programs, ensuring market competitiveness, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.

  • Promote a Total Rewards mindset through enablement tools, trainings, and thoughtful communication strategies.

What you can bring:

  • 4-6 years of experience in compensation, preferably in high-growth or complex organizations

  • Functional expertise across both U.S. and international rewards practices, particularly in retail and/or ecommerce environments

  • Solid understanding of relevant compliance areas, including U.S. federal and state regulations (FLSA, min wage requirements, SOX, etc.)

  • Strong analytical and Excel skills and the ability to turn data into insights and experience executing compensation tasks within HRIS (preferably Workday)

  • Proactive problem-solver, offering solutions and process improvements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
