The Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly analytical and proactive Senior Compensation Analyst to join our Compensation team. In this senior individual contributor role, you’ll help design, implement, and administer our global compensation programs to ensure we attract, motivate, and retain top talent. You’ll partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to deliver competitive, equitable, and compliant pay practices. This is a high-impact opportunity in a dynamic environment that will allow you to shape and influence the future of Grammarly’s total rewards strategy.

  • Analyze, model, and benchmark base pay, incentive, and equity programs to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Lead complex compensation projects, such as annual merit cycles, salary structure reviews, job leveling, and pay equity analyses.
  • Develop and deliver tools, dashboards, and compensation reports for HR and business leaders.
  • Provide consultative guidance to HRBPs and managers on pay decisions, job evaluations, and offers.
  • Maintain and update compensation data in HRIS and market pricing systems.
  • Support the design and implementation of new compensation policies and programs that align with business goals and local regulations.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in compensation.
  • Participate in and analyze salary surveys; manage relationships with survey vendors.
  • Assist with executive and equity compensation analyses as needed.
Qualifications
  • 4–7+ years of progressive experience in compensation analysis or consulting, preferably in a global environment
  • Solid knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, and market pricing tools (e.g., Radford, Pave, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and data modeling expertise; experience with HRIS and reporting tools (e.g., Workday, Tableau, or similar), familiarity with Coda a plus.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future. 

United States: 
Zone 1: $158,000 – $218,000/year (USD)
Zone 2: $142,000- $196,000/year (USD)
