Community Relations Representative I

Candidate MUST live in Louisiana and be willing to travel up to 4 days each week within the state.

Position Purpose:

Conduct community outreach, provide sales support, and develop optimal market penetration for all lines of business by engaging prospective members within the assigned territory in accordance with the company’s policies and programs. Provide greater access to health insurance through education, assistance and coordinated community outreach. 

• Identify prospective enrollees and determine eligibility for participation in Medicaid, Medicare, and/or Marketplace products
• Attend various community events, including health fairs, HEDIS initiatives and Member Advisory Groups and other sites as designated to market products
• Identify, develop and maintain relationships with new community contacts and organizations to pursue outreach engagements
• Generate leads for Medicare and/or Marketplace products, present information on Medicaid programs, help facilitate the continuance of enrollment, and offer information with Medicaid recertification
• Assist members in accessing health care, and other essential services as needs arise
• Stay informed and comply with marketing activity guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies, including providing enrollees with all corresponding materials and documentation
• Research and monitor competitive products and marketing practices
• Submit special reports regarding the operation of the territory, acceptance or rejection of products, and competitive conditions beneficial to other Marketing initiatives
• Ability to lift boxes containing marketing materials for events
• Ability to travel within the state
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Comply with all policies and standards

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree marketing, sales, related field or equivalent experience. Required 2+ years of marketing, sales or community relations or outreach experience, preferably in a managed care or Medicaid environment. Bilingual is a plus.
Licenses/Certifications:
State Driver’s License. Upon Hire required
Obtain current state’s Accident and Health Insurance Agent License: within 180 Days
